DJ Phaze

The always dynamic DJ PHAZE was born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, but is currently based in Baltimore, MD. PHAZE is known to bring people to their feet with the simple drop of a needle and the smooth blending of beats. His non-conventional style and ability to seamlessly play a variety of music, is what sets him apart from your average DJ. Additionally, his musicianship and knowledge of sound engineering are assets that enhance his professionalism and versatility.
Thus far he has proven in a short space of time that he’s not only a music lover and musician, but also an expert in his craft.

PHAZE has lent his hand in producing and mixing a few of the most popular mixes in conjunction with fan favorite websites. Along with, PHAZE’s Jill Scott Jawn Volume 1 was so well received globally; a Volume II was brought to the forefront by demand as part of the Mixologists series. Teaming up with, PHAZE added his smooth touch and musical choices to The Anita Baker Sessions Volume I and II. He found another spot yet again in the musical repertoire of his fans with his DJ PHAZE’s Stevie Wonder Mix and the GFM Bob Marley Tribute for Recently, he was called upon to produce and host 90’s soulstress Joya’s mixtape Memoirs in Chartreuse, which continues to garner acclaim since its release in May 2013.

With regards to further production credits, PHAZE keeps busy as the host of Friday Night Jazz Club on Morgan State’s WEAA 88.9 FM (10p-12a). He interviews the best of indie soul and RnB artists, while selecting musical sounds for everyone to ease into the weekend vibes. Last but not the least, inspired by Music Addikts’ series, PHAZE’s weekly event Freeload Friday in Baltimore continues to have patrons come through and enjoy a space where good music is celebrated
and mixed down with a side order of networking and fun with the occasional treat of a live performance by local and international independent soul and RnB artists. The podcasts from the event are also hot commodities, being downloaded weekly by fans internationally.

PHAZE not only produces and mixes, but he has also performed as the house/concert DJ for many of today’s leading artists on the scene such as Eric Roberson, Raheem DeVaughn, Marsha Ambrosius, The Foreign Exchange, and Zo! (to name a few). He’s also played for several First Hit listening sessions & instores at Moods Music in Atlanta as the resident DJ for As an experienced concert and festival DJ, PHAZE performed as the opening act for New York City Parks Foundation’s Concert in the Park series featuring hip hop legends such as Slick Rick and RnB songstress, Lisa Lisa (of Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam fame). His repeat performances at festivals such as Baltimore’s African American Heritage Festival, DC’s Love Fest. Hosting and performing Smirnoff’s Kiss-n-Grind tour in Baltimore and Washington, DC are further testaments to his versatility and demand.
