Pamela Mitchell

Founder The National Hip-Hop Scholars Competition emerged from a program called “Media & Me” that Ms. Mitchell developed to teach students how to research and create their own media. In 2004 Ms. Mitchell started her career in education as a special education Inclusion teacher, at a level 5 special education school, in Washington DC.
In class, is where she has implemented creative technique to reach students at their comfort level to aid the advancement of their academics! Ms. Mitchell has implemented several programs and developed curriculum through her own company In-Class Solutions, which offers tutorial development, mentoring, and counseling services to a variety of learning institutions throughout the DC metropolitan area. As a private tutor Ms. Mitchell successfully addressed student need for academic guidance by teaching them study and test taking skills in all subjects areas. Her success has been measured through academic improvement as well as increased attendance. Media & Me, In-Class Solutions, and now The National Hip-Hop Scholars Competition show the progressive expansion, commitment, and dedication that Ms. Mitchell has to the youth and to academic achievement.
